Ironworks
The Mathildedal Ironworks is a historic ironworks dating back to the 1850s. Iron was produced in Mathildedal for about 50 years, after which the works began manufacturing agricultural machinery, among other things. Industrial production in Mathildedal ceased in the 1970s.
In 2003, Tuula and Harri Gustafsson purchased the old ironworks buildings and began developing tourism in the area.
